Force, Skyhawks notch big wins | WESTERN INDOOR SOCCER LEAGUE
EVERETT, WA— The Snohomish Skyhawks (2-1-0) and Sporting Everett FC (2-3-0) share the same county (Snohomish) and most all of the players know each other and some are even neighbors. The first derby between the two in the WISL went to the visiting Skyhawks 9-5 on Saturday night at the Everett Soccer Arena. The result has the neighbors going in opposite directions. Snohomish has now won two straight while Sporting has dropped three in a row.
Hector Valdovinos scored four of the nine Snohomish goals. It was a back and forth affair until Hector’s late push. He scored three of his four goals in a span in the fourth quarter.
“Tonight we kept our heads and organization and fought through some difficult situations posed by a quality opponent. Proud as a coach that our players responded to the challenge in such a positive way. We want to keep this effort to build into January,” said coach Tao Shen after the game.
Goal Scoring: Sporting Everett- Andrew Escalante (2), Jordan Correa, Lupe Rodriguez, Mark Conrad. Snohomish Skyhawks- Hector Valdovinos (4), Josh Peters, John Troka, Dino Michaelides, Adrian Espinoza, Aaron Burns.
